Chip Entz is a founding member of In Time Band. Born in Tyler, TX and raised in Dallas, he began his musical journey at the age of two when, much to his mom’s chagrin, he began a daily habit of pulling pans out of the cabinet and beating on them with a wooden spoon. He still has that wooden spoon!
Growing up in the 70’s, Chip learned to appreciate a wide variety of music genres found on the radio airwaves of Dallas’ Top-40 formatted KLIF-AM “The Mighty 1190”. Drummers like Neil Peart of Rush and John Bonham of Led Zeppelin were among his earliest drumming influences. And, while Chip’s contemporaries were jamming to artists on American Bandstand, Chip was soaking up the funky sounds of Soul Train. He learned all the dances – and all the grooves!
By day, Chip is the Executive Director of LivHOME, a professional care management and senior home care company in Houston. A longtime resident of Cinco Ranch, Chip is married to his bride of over 30 years, Dina. And, they have two grown kids and three grandchildren. Besides his love for drumming, Chip is an avid soccer fan (Bayern Munich and Manchester United) and a golfer. He played competitive soccer all over the world.
Chip can be found every Sunday morning serving on the Worship Team at Grace Anglican Community in Katy. He is also a founding member of Identity Crisis, a popular classic rock band in Katy.
